The Climate Cabinet’s package of measures sets the fundamental course for achieving the German climate targets. The focus is on national CO2 pricing and trading in the non-ETS sectors from 2021 onwards. In total, however, the points agreed are not ambitious enough for a probable achievement of the targets – further measures can be expected in the medium term.
Regardless of this, the effects will be felt in the gas, heat and power sectors: Gas and district heating sales as well as spread and price levels will change significantly from the next decade onwards.
The enervis focus study Impact Assessment Climate Package shows what this means for individual assets and portfolios.
