Market Design

With its ambition to be climate neutral by 2045, Germany has set itself an ambitious goal. To achieve this goal, the German government regularly issues new laws and ordinances. These regulatory frameworks affect all sectors of the energy system: from new calls for proposals for the expansion of power plants, to the greenness of hydrogen, to market design issues. In addition, legislation at the EU level is becoming increasingly important and must be implemented in national law. For example, a number of legislative changes are currently pending as part of the Fit-for-55 package.

The vital interest of companies, associations and NGOs is to assess the impact of new proposals and make their position perceptible in the public debate. This requires good and substantiated arguments. The aim is to find solutions that will make the energy transition a success.

enervis can build on a great expertise in the field of policy consulting for associations, NGOs, public institutions and companies. The focus of our services is on well-founded energy studies for the effective and efficient design of energy policies in all sectors. Examples are studies on the development of the electricity market design, auction models for renewables and hydrogen, capacity mechanisms, surcharges and fees, sector coupling or the evaluation of the gas auction model. The studies particularly address political decision makers and socially relevant groups. In addition to the preparation of the studies, we are happy to assist you in the publication process as well as in public appearances and press conferences.

Please contact us if you are interested in an exchange or if you need consulting services.
