Heating Market Analysis

The heat turnover will have a significant influence on the building structure, energy demand, type of heating and finally on the final energy demand.

For the analysis of future developments in this market enervis has a heat market model at its disposal. The model enables a scenario-based analysis of the development of the building structure, the heat and final energy demand as well as the technologies and energy sources used. enervis can carry out a modelling on a national level to map nationwide climate targets and other scenario parameters. Subsequently, individual districts, municipalities can be analysed under consideration of regional factors, how these levels fit into the overall carbon emissions target achievement.

The regionalized analysis of the effect of the heat turnover is of critical importance for municipal actors: For gas and power transport system operators, it is possible to estimate which additional investments in the grids are necessary in the various scenarios and which action decisions can be derived from them. Regional suppliers can use the analyses to estimate their sales volumes in the long term.

Furthermore, municipal policy implications, such as the additional costs of the heat turnover in different scenarios for the individual market participants (households, GHD, industry, utilities, network operators) can be worked out or municipal energy demand analyses can be prepared. Thus, our heat market model also serves to estimate the costs of integrated municipal climate protection concepts and is the fundamental basis to develop heating market strategies for multi-utility companies.
