Margin Analysis of Customer Segments

We use our detailed knowledge of commercial structures along the value chain to develop integrated analyses of price and margin trends at all stages of the gas market supply chain. The focus is on the trading market, which links the market participants. Different pricing, indexation, procurement strategies and actual costs of risks planned in advance differ for each customer group and thus lead to a differentiated view of margins.

Traditionally, these analyses are used in the context of price adjustments of long-term gas supply contracts in order to shed light on the actual price and margin situation. In addition, these analyses are used to benchmark sales and to realign sales strategies as well as business evaluation and due dilligence.

We are able to prepare market information in such a way that the corresponding strategic decisions can be prepared and justified. Our services range from the identification of interesting segments to the development of complete business plans. Among other things, we offer our clients regular quarterly reporting on volume, price and margin developments in the German gas market.
