The PPA Atlas Wind Onshore is a tool that supports the daily updated evaluation of PPAs for onshore wind projects. The up-to-dateness is ensured by the use of forward market prices of the exchange, so PPA prices can be determined site- and technology-specific with an on-demand calculation. The atlas covers the market-driven factors for a PPA price from the combination of the forward market prices and the consideration of the influence of different weather years. Other individually adjustable variables such as the risk deductions and the additional revenues from guarantees of origin are also included in the calculation of the PPA price. A representation of the covered evaluation issues covered can be found here (grey box):
The PPA-Atlas wind onshore is therefore a good tool to monitor the development of the PPA price for your own projects and to obtain a neutral assessment. The tool is also suitable for the evaluation of new construction projects without subsidies and fixed price hedging under the EEG.
