Inhouse-Workshop: Battery Storage

“The expansion of renewable energies is leading to a growing need for electricity storage facilities.” This blanket mantra contrasts with the challenging conditions of many storage projects in the current environment. At the same time, interesting business models are developing in the field of decentralised (battery) storage. There is evidence that flexibility markets are becoming increasingly relevant.

This development makes a selective discussion of storage projects necessary. Against this background, the workshop analyses the energy-economic demand for battery storage, examines framework parameters and examines business models for their economic efficiency and economic prospects.

TOPICS

  • Which markets and business models exist for power storage?
  • What developments are taking place in the power and balancing power markets, how are they working and what prospects are foreseeable?
  • Regulatory framework: Which course settings are conceivable or necessary?
  • Based on model and scenario-based forecasts, how is the energy industry’s demand for electricity storage developing?
  • Power storage and electric mobility
  • Power storage and renewables
