Technology-specific auctions for wind onshore have been conducted in Germany since 2017. enervis has accompanied these auctions since day one by supporting bidders in developing an optimal bidding strategy with the help of detailed data on the bidding potential for the auctions and our comprehensive auction model for the wind market. The enervis auction model is based on two crucial variables:
A comprehensive data set with information on already approved wind turbines, wind turbines in the approval process and area potential from the Germany-wide regional plans, which is regularly updated, forms the backbone of the enervis auction model for onshore wind.
In addition to the detailed capacity data, highly resolved wind yield data (wind speeds) feed our profitability calculation in which hundreds of turbine type and hub height combinations are differentiated. From this input data, a bid price can be determined for each single wind project. These, in turn, can be lined up in a bid price curve.
