Reference Study Coupling Sector

It is already clear today that sector coupling shifts sales volumes between the energy sources of electricity, natural gas, synthetic gases and district heating, and threatens in particular gas networks.

The technical and economic lifetimes of networks require that all new investments in this asset class can also be represented beyond the year 2050.

USE AND RESULTS

DEVELOPMENT OF THE ENERGY SYSTEM UP TO 2050 (PART A)

USE
Strategic effects of sector coupling on business units

RESULTS
Clean technology development (cost, efficiency) by 2050 (P2G, electrolysis, renewable energy etc.), consistent development of fuel / CO2 prices, development and composition of the power plant park, development of the technology composition of the heating and transport sector by 2050, system costs & CO2 emissions)

IMPACT ON YOUR SUPPLY (PART B)

USE
Forecast of gas consumption in your grid area

RESULTS
Development of final energy demand in the transport and heating sector for energy sources at county level, gas and electricity consumption, as well as peak loads in the transport and heating sector at distribution network level in your area
