Guarantees of Origin

European Guarantees of Origin (GoO) are used by consumers and energy suppliers to certify their purchased or consumed electricity as “green”. The market for GOOs, which is completely decoupled from physical electricity trading, allows the transfer of country- and technology-specific GOOs, which are also a central component of the scope of delivery of power purchase agreements (PPA).

The enervis GOO price forecast provides model-based long-term scenarios that depicts future price and volume developments of GOOs for each European country in the EECS market and all renewable technologies. In addition to classic GOO price forecasts, the model is also used for scenario studies on market design, for example in a project for the German Federal Environmental Agency.
